Sound of Metal 2019 Storyline :

A heavy-metal drummer’s life is thrown into freefall when he begins to lose his hearing.

Keeping at bay his inner demons by devoting himself to art, metal drummer, Ruben, has been living for the moment for the past four years. Then, while on tour with his lead-singer/girlfriend, Lou, Ruben realises that his hearing is rapidly deteriorating. As this sudden hearing loss turns his world upside down, and numbing fear paired with angry denial take over, Ruben reluctantly accepts to join a small deaf community overseen by Joe, a compassionate Vietnam War veteran. Now, Ruben needs to find some solid ground, understand that being deaf is not a handicap and that deafness isn’t something to fix. But, is Ruben willing to accept his new life and learn how to be deaf?

Review of Sound of Metal (2019) Film:

While I think Riz Ahmed gave grant commendable execution in this film, the embed falsehood brought down my rating. Getting inserts is certainly not a speedy interaction and a decent audiologist could never tell a patient you’re about to need to become accustomed to it. It takes various visits when medical procedure. Having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed his work with the children and the scenes with the deaf community. I would give the acting 10/10. It has an incredible cast.

Additionally, I would like to emphasize that a person with hearing loss who chooses to get implants should not be shamed for doing so. But you shouldn’t be made to feel bad about either choice if you don’t want implants.
